If you have a large group and looking for a space entirely your own, you can book the entire Eco Lodge including the Echidna and Wombat cabins, which sleeps up to 28 people in total. In the cabins, there are wooden bunk beds with comfy mattresses – all bedding is provided, including sheets, doona covers and pillow cases. The cabins are equipped with a slow combustion wood heater for a comfortable night’s sleep during cooler months.
Clean, fresh rain water is supplied and is safe to drink and we have a warm shower on premises. Large campfire has a sitting area and wood supplied.
Please note, the premises are entirely off grid and solar power is limited to lights and 12V power-points only.
Self-catering guests can use one of the two guest kitchens – both include gas stove tops, a BBQ, cookware, cutlery, utensils, kettles, plates and cups, as well as a wash basin. Clean, fresh rain water is supplied and is safe to drink. Rubbish bins, including recycling and composting bins are on premises. Please note, a guest fridge is not available, so please bring your own esky.
Please note, a 2-night minimum stay applies to self-catering bookings on weekends & public holidays.
On catered nights, dinner & breakfast for up to 28 people are included in the price of your stay. You can also add an optional take-away lunch pack to take with you on the walk next day.
Dinner – roo stew full of fresh herbs and vegetables cooked for 10 hours and served with mashed potato and rice (vegetarian/vegan stew also available). We use kangaroo meat for this dish as it’s the most sustainable meat option on the market and has lower impact on the environment. It is also lean, high in protein, rich in B vitamins, minerals such as zinc, iron and omega 3 fats and omega 6 fatty acids.
Breakfast – buffet style breakfast includes selection of muesli and cereal with milk, scrambled eggs (free range from neighbour’s farm), selection of cheese, bacon, baked beans, sliced fresh tomatoes, cucumber and capsicum, spreads, sourdough bread, selection of cakes, tea and plunger coffee.
Take-away lunch (extra $20) – two wraps with salami, cheese, home made spread & veg, nut bar & fruit
Our licensed bar is also open on catered nights and we offer a nice selection of beer ($9), cider ($9), local wines ($10 per glass / $35 per bottle) as well as a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks ($3.50 – $5.50).
